Why I Built BFRENZ
by JT★♫ PRO · Oct 3, 2026, 10:32 AM
I built BFRENZ because I missed the internet where your profile was actually yours: your colors, your Top 8, your song playing the second someone showed up. So I brought it back, and it's free at bfrenz.com.
Every app looks the same now
Open any social app and you get the same white feed, the same round picture, the same profile as everyone else. You can change your bio and your photo. That's it.
It didn't used to be like that. Your page had a background, colors and a song. You picked your Top 8 and everyone knew exactly where they stood. Your profile said something about you before anyone read a word.
Somewhere along the way, the apps decided it was easier if everyone looked identical. I think we lost something fun.
What BFRENZ is
BFRENZ is a social network where your page is yours again. Here's what you can do the minute you join:
• Make your page look like you. Pick from 22 themes, like Galaxy, Y2K Glitter, Scene Queen and Lava Lamp, or write your own custom CSS and go all out.
• Pick your Top 8. Rank your real ones. You'll even get a heads-up when someone puts you in theirs.
• Set a profile song. It plays when people visit your page. Want more than one? Make it a playlist.
• Decorate everything. Glitter text, stickers and "Thanks for the add!" graphics in any comment box, no HTML needed.
• Collect stamps. Frenz give each other collectible stamps, with rare and seasonal ones to hunt for.
• Join groups and write blogs. Fan clubs, local scenes, gaming squads, or just a place to write what's on your mind.
• The little things. Away messages, a hit counter on your page, weekly surveys, birthday reminders and a Profile of the Week vote.
It works on your phone too. You can add it to your home screen like an app and get notifications when someone messages you.
Built for artists and creators
The old profile pages were where a lot of musicians got their first fans, so BFRENZ is built to help you get heard.
• Song of the Day. Every morning the BFRENZ Bot picks a real member's profile song and posts it to everyone's feed. Artists get picked first.
• Pro Artist badge. A badge that tells people you make music, plus a spot in Featured Music.
• Creator mode. Fans can follow you in one tap, no friend request needed. Your public posts show up in every follower's feed.
• My Links. Put your YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Spotify and merch in one place: bfrenz.com/yourname.
• Stats. See your followers, link clicks and top posts, and find new fans on Discover Creators.
If you're a DJ, rapper, singer, YouTuber or streamer, this is a place to be early instead of being one of a million.
It's free, for real
Everything above is free: your page, your Top 8, your song, groups, blogs, messages and the free themes.
If you want extra, there's an optional Supporter membership for $2.99 a month. You get every premium theme, a Top 16, see who's been creeping on your page, a gold badge, your own name color and no ads. Supporters are what keep the servers running, and I'm grateful for every one.
Nobody has to pay to have a great page. That was the whole point.
Come build it with me
BFRENZ is brand new, and I'm building it myself. That means if you join now, you're one of the first people here, and what you ask for actually gets built.
Here's how to start:
1. Sign up free at bfrenz.com.
2. Pick a theme and add your profile song.
3. Join a few groups. The BFRENZ Lounge is the place to say hi.
4. Invite your real frenz, because a Top 8 needs eight.
Then tell me what you think. Leave a comment on my page or post in the Lounge. I read everything.
See you on BFRENZ.
